Dave,

Thanks for creating this new board for La Nueva Tercia!!

We are due to complete end of March.

We are purchasing the apartment directly through the developer and so far, apart from a slight delay on completion date, it has been a straightforward process.

The sales staff at the site have been excellent and regularly keep us informed.

We look forward to hearing from any other owners / purchasers at La Nueva Tercia.

Carole and Kevin

Hi Carole and Kevin,

No problem with creating the board, the forum team are delighted when new developments and future neighbours join up to the forum.

Hopefully we will be completing around the end of March also, i hope the Dy Vanne winebar in the village is ready for all these new customers ;D.

Do keep us up to date with your progress, i hope you find other owners / purchasers from La Nueva Tercia.

When did you last visit La Nueva Tercia?

Hi Dave,

We last visited La Nueva Tercia in June.

We have visited on several occasions since our initial visit in Feb 06 and are visiting again end of Feb when we are hoping to be given a definite completion date.

Will keep you informed of any progress!

Speak soon

Hi Dave

Not sure if Dy Vanne winebar will be able to cope with the influx of the extra customers when you're out there in March. But don't be afraid to visit the local social club down the road (what an experience - well it was for us). I should add a good experience !!!
We will also be out in March what are the chances of the Club house being open on UGR ?

Hi Jon & Tracey

The winbar will need to stock up for February, when the 1st section of owners on phase 1 at UGR start to complete  :D. Nick did tell us to make sure we visit the social club, Alison and Nick also informed us of the Spanish lessons that have been taking place in the village for the local ex pats when we last spoke with them.

Regarding the clubhouse at UGR, the information so far is that the club house is around two months away from completion.

Maybe we will see you on the golf course at La Tercia sometime?

Dave

Hi All
Just back from our visit to La Tercia etc.  Right, we descended  (Allan and I, Richard and Jemma and friend and Rob Watchorn) on the Dy Vanne for a glass of vino tinto.  Its not so much a wine bar as the local caff!!!  Its very smoky but full of good atmosphere, canteen tables and a smelly loo (our table was near the loo door!!).  However, I am sure if they got a smoke filter in there, I for one would return - suffice to say I had to fumigate all our clothes after that visit, but the beer was good!

Hi Dave,
just wanted to say that there is also another new urbanisation in La Tercia, called Hacienda don Paco, a small community of 58 houses and 40 flats, it's just across the road from La Nueva Tercia!

A lot of us use the Social Club in the village at the weekends, it's very spanish but then that's it's appeal.

In the summer the village hosts a Fiesta in July, which we all contribute to and lots of fun is had by all.  Last year it ran over a 2 week period, with giant paellas, foam parties, kids events, BBQ, and lots of other entertainment.  It's a great way to get to know the locals and integrate!

So if you're over in July pop into the village!

Hi Margo,

Yes i have heard of the urbanisation Hacienda don Paco, been in contact with a couple of people from there, not managed to make it the La Tercia social club has yet :'( but we might just get there next week when we are over and maybe have a drink with you, the one we have not yet manged to have? :D

We have been told all about the La Tercia Fiesta that is held in July, and all the activities taking place :) sounds like a great time is had by all, and like you say good to intergrate with the local Spanish villagers.

Do you know if there is anything planned for over the easter break in the village or at any of the other local villages?

Dave ( who may take a bike ride with Eileen, into La Tercia Village soon :o

Hi Dave,
would love to meet up for a drink in the village, give me a ring if you get time.

Re : Easter last year there was a beautiful procession from the little chapel in the village (at the back of the social club) with the most spectacular flower display, around the village.  Similar thing but on a larger scale happens in Sucina, worth watching.  Not sure what date it take place, will enquire and get back to you.

Oh, for those that don't know there's a bakery in the village, called Paqui's, they do delicious Ciabatta amongst others.  Paqui's husband Juan does garden & pool maintenance, they're a great family and very friendly.
