I would just like to add our recommendation to this thread about La Vida Mortgages and in particular, Henry Slade.
We were introduced to UGR two and a half years ago by MRI and signed up for their financial consultants, Capital Financial Partners to find us a Spanish mortgage that met our criteria. Despite having plenty of time to source a product that was suitable for us they continually gave us excuses about the credit crunch and how the recession was closing traditional channels of finance for property purchase.
With our completion on phase 2 looming we were worried that CFP would not deliver so we approached Henry in June this year and I have to say he has been fantastic. He quickly understood our requirements and used his local contacts in the banking sector to find us exactly what we wanted. His communication, either by phone or e mail was prompt and informative, keeping us in the loop throughout the process. He organised the valuation of the apartment and liaised with lawyers, banks, UGR, Notary and others right up to completion of the purchase at the end of July. The whole thing took just 8 weeks and was such a relief for us.
I would not hesitate to recommend all those still struggling with obtaining finance for completions on phase 2 to give Henry a ring. For us he did the business, and he's such a nice bloke as well.
