Hi all,
Looking for some help.

My wife is coming over in April & is flying into Alicante airport & driving down to La Tercia.
Can anyone provide us with some simple instructions as to directions to take when you pick up your car hire @ Alicante airport ? Is it just a matter of looking for signs for Elche then Torrevieja ?
This is the 1st time she has done the drive so any info is greatly appreciated.

 Thanks in advance

    Matthew

Hi Matt
•Leave airport, follow signs for E-15/A-7 Murcia and get on the motorway
•Continue along motorway, direction Murcia
•After bypassing Murcia city, you will automatically join up with the A-30 your route continues through the Sierra de Carrascoy mountain range all the while remaining on the motorway
•Take exit 411 entering road C-3319 direction Balsicas|San Javier|Aeropuerto
•Continue on C-3319 for around 10minutes then take exit for Balsicas
•At the 1st roundabout take the final (4th) exit for Balsicas on the F-12
•Cross the bridge over the motorway and at next roundabout take 3rd exit direction Gea y Truyols
•At the next small roundabout, take the 2nd exit and continue
•Shortly after this take the next available right turn, following signs to United Golf Resorts, you'll soon notice that you are surrounded by groves of orange, lemon and almond trees
•Remain on this road until you reach La Tercia.

hope this helps it was on le tercia golf web site  - Lynne & Dave

Hi Lynne & Dave,

No the link is us! Those directions have come from our website not from anything UGR is doing.

We have a one bed and a 3 bed apartment on UGR.

Are you the Lynne & Dave whose sister stayed in our 1 bed for the party week last year?

Hope this clarifies the situation!

Cheers,
Lynn & John

Hate to tell you everyone but UGR are - they are offering the block they kitted out in 12.1  as part of their golf packages via Nigel at the Casa Club.

Have UGR paid their community fees for this block-if not this needs to raised at the AGM.

Hi all

For those people lucky enough to be driving to Spain from Plymouth - we can recommend a family run hotel in a small village, on the edge of Dartmoor, approximately 8 miles from Plymouth. It was an easy run to the port from there.
It is the Moorgarth Hotel, Wotter - and it takes dogs. It also has a lovely steak restaurant on site.

Hi all,

I wondered if anyone knows of any companies in the area who rent out good quality golf clubs - we have some friends coming over in May and they wanted to try and avoid the high Ryanair charges if possible, but still have good clubs to play with.

I had heard of a company who I think meet you at the airport with the clubs and then pick them up again off you when you are leaving, but I couldn't find them on a quick google search

Thanks

Gordon & Elaine,

You could give this company a try http://www.murciagolfclubhire.co.uk/clubs_prices.html , but i think that they hire clubs at the club shop for around 15€.  Probably best to check out the La Tercia golf course website.

There is also this company which is headed by Paul McGinley, the european tour player.

You can hire them from Murcia airport.
