"DoYouSpain" phone number please.
« on: August 29, 2008, 12:41:30 PM »
I know that people on site have used the above company for car rental, but I have a question for them, and their online "ask a question",seems not to be working. Three mails that I have recently sent, although endorsed at the time that they were sucessfully sent, have within minutes, caused an automated email, to say that they were not delivered. So does anyone have a phone number.

Thanks....David T.

Hi David T

We used Do you Spain for our car rental 2 weeks ago and found them a lot cheaper than other web sites / companies. The only down side we thought was the fuel cost that they charge you when you collect the car is extremely high (88 euros for a car that holds only 55 euros). Having said that they were more than 60 euros cheaper than other companies for the car rental so this far out weighs the cost of fuel.
Hope you get a good price.

And they do refund the fuel cost to you if you return the car full.  Also, they must have put the price of their tank of fuel up as I normally only pay 55 euros for this.

Hi Janice and Martin,

I think that you got a great deal through Do you Spain, Sandra mentions that she pays 55 euros for a full tank. There are not many companies who offer a 6 litre Hummer on weekly hire, so to have got a full tank for 88 euros sounds like a good deal to me!   ::)

Hope that we will see you in La Tercia at Christmas....David T /Elizabeth T.

Hi,

I think typically when you book a hire car its via an agent, like the company you mention who then places you with the hire car company i.e. Goldcar,Centauro etc etc. Its with the hire company, not the agent, that the petrol agreement is made and they all vary. Therefore the only way you can be satisfied you are getting the deal you want with regard to the fuel, is to book directly with the car hire company.

Thanks Dave T and Sandra for your responses. We hired a mercedes A class car and I thought the fuel charge was high. When I book again, I will tell them at the airport that I wish to bring the car back full of fuel and will expect a full refund. !!!! Hope this is the case.

Thanks Janice and Martin

Bit of info re my car hiring with Goldcar from san javier.

If the car is hired for 3 days or less then you can return with a full tank and the initial fuel payment made will be refunded.
Hiring for 4 days or more then there is no refund therefore leave as little as poss in the tank.

Don't know if DoYouSpain use the same process.

Hi folks,
I get my car through Carjet and end up with AurigaCrown usually.  They seem to have discression at the counter about tank full or empty, just ask when filling out forms. I hired for 2 weeks in July and was allowed to bring it back full.  No problem.

Hi Sandra,
I have just booked a 9 day hire with DYS, and on the rental voucher, it does state that they operate the full / empty system, except for periods of 3 days. Did you get your full / full option on a longer period?
It is still a good deal whatever, but I really do not want to give them half a tank of free fuel !
