first meeting of owner
« on: March 29, 2008, 07:33:54 PM »
we went  to the first meeting of property owner in Manchester on Thursday 27th march,
it was intresting we spoke to a few people and a rep from P/W. must say it was a bit difficulty to hear what was being said because of the very loud music.

i got a lovely orange plant on leaving

I think the general opinion from buyers was the disappointment at the speed of the developments.
the rep we spoke to said the problem is the expectations of us Brits, and the slow life style of the Spanish people, the Spanish do not rush , we expect thing to be done NOW the Spanish people will finish when they finish and have no time scale. some of the problems had been with the spanish goverment putting new demands on them?

We got our keys in Oct 07 on H/R but we are still waiting for the furniture to be delivered.
we have now been given a third date of 10th April so fingers crossed.

Hi Freda

Was this a Polaris organised meeting or a meeting organised by owners (as per our La Tercia meetings at Coventry)?

I am sure an orange plant was gratefully received.    However, I would have thought, like many other British buyers, that if you are selling mainly to British buyers, then these developers cannot adopt the "Spanish" way of doing things - surely you adapt to your market place?

I am sure, like many others who participate on the Forum, that we consider ourselves patient people, but what irritates me, as I am sure it does many others, is the promises these developers  make which are not fulfilled when the time comes.  It seems to me that once you have paid over your 3000 euros you lose all rights of negotiation or influence?

Still, like you say, the orange plant was a bonus!!

With kind regards

Hi Freda,

Just reading your post, you say;

"We got our keys in Oct 07 on H/R but we are still waiting for the furniture to be delivered."

Are you saying that you have been waiting since Oct for your furniture? If so, who supplied your furniture?

Please do feel free to attend our owners social, which is in September.
I am afraid you will probably not receive any plants. Unless Dave is not telling me something ;D

You will just meet like minded people all purchasing/experiencing buying a property in Murcia.

Regards
Gary :)

Hi Freda great to hear you enjoyed the meet up, A Taste of Murcia in Manchester.

Sandra the event was arranged by Polaris World, they have organised others for Liverpool,Birmingham, perhaps P.W. have taken our idea of owners meeting up in the UK on board?.

Gary i don`t think we will be handing out plants, maybe a small tool set for the DIYers would be an idea? ;D
on 2nd thoughts a plant sounds like a good idea to me ;)
