La Tercia
« on: January 14, 2008, 11:02:18 PM »
Hi Folks

Me and my wife are "newbies" and have just registered with the forum.
We have been looking at the various sections and topics and found them very informative and interesting. We have bought a 3 bed house up in La Nueva Tercia Residentiial in the village.
We love the location and are discovering new things every time we visit.
We bought the house in Feb 06 and completed in Feb 07 the devlopment is "typically" behind shedule but we think it's worth the wait.
Does anyone know when the Rd form the village to Balsicas, that is at present blocked off, will be reopened?
Hope to speak to you soon.

Jon and Tracy

Hi Jon and Tracy

Good to see local neighbours joining the forum, perhaps you could give us an update on the happenings of village life at La Tercia, also any other local information you would like to share with us?

Regarding the re opening of the road at the Balsicas end, we have heard that it would be complete around April time. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Perhaps Jon and Sarah are able to give you an update on this.

Hi Jon,Tracey and Dave

As far as we know its going to be a couple of months.  Its a shame its happening around the time of the completions on UGR, but it will be worth it for better access to the site rom Basilcas.

Hi Jon, Tracy and Dave,
Does anyone know why the road from La Tercia to Balsicas is closed, or what work they are doing?
Is it anything to do with our site at UGR?

Hi Ray

Even though the road was resurfaced a couple of months ago, this was only a temporary measure.  When we signed up a 18 months ago we were told that the road would be double width and have street lights.  We thought at the time this was a sales pitch.  But now it looks as it could be true.  With the 3 sites around the area there will be quite a lot of traffic coming and going from UGR, LTR and Los Granados.  So this new road to Balsicas will be a great improvement gaining access to the site.
Look forward to using it ASAP.

Hi,

So does this mean there is no access from the Balsicas end then  ??

Just that I'm going out for a visit soon - does anyone know the easiest alternative route to get to UGR   ??

Thanks

Hi

There are several alternative routes from the AP7 motorway.
You can still come up the C3319 and stay on for another exit and go through
Valle de Sol and follow signs for La Tercia.
Easier still is to stay on till the next exit Gea Y Truyols/Sucina.take the sign for Sucina and this will bring you straight to La Tercia village.
If you are not rushed for time and are travelling in daylight i would take exit 780 from the AP7 and take the MU 301 to Sucina.(this is locally known as dead dog rd.)
This rd. takes you through the town of Sucina. As you come out of the town you take a left turn signposted Gea Y truyols/La Tercia. Follow this rd past the Hacienda requelme golf resort. when you come to the end of this rd,you take a sharp right under the railway bridge then turn immediately left
(this turning is not signposted) but the rd drives straight into La Tercia.
Very scenic route. Hope this helps.

Jon and Tracey.

Hi Jon and Tracy

My wife and I are new members of the forum.

We are in the process of purchasing an apartment at La Nueva Tercia and we were pleased to see somebody else from our development on the forum.

Perhaps we could ask the administrator to add La Nueva Tercia to the list of developments and maybe this would encourage other owners to join the forum!!

As we near completion, we may have some questions for you if you don't mind as we see you completed a year ago.

Regards

Kevin and Carole

Hi Kevin and Carole

It is nice to hear from other people from La Nueva Tercia.
What apartment block are you purchasing? Is it the one under construction up by the proposed Spa?
If you have any questions, please fire away.
We have made some good contacts regarding Electrical/Air con,Furniture, white goods etc etc.
We wish we had known about these before we were due to complete.
As you know we completed January 07 and have no regrets so far. The development, village and location are great - still discovering the area. Have you driven to Murcia through the Columbares Mountains? Fantastic views, well worth a journey.

Hi Jon and Tracy

Yes our block is the one by the spa in fact the end first floor overlooking the pool and spa!!

We were there last in June so we are sure that there has been much progress since then. The ground floor slab and a few pillars were visible thats all.

We did get some photos from the developer beginning of November and build looked to be progressing well.

Although we have been to La Tercia on several occasions we have not yet been to Murcia but we did go through the mountains on our way to Malaga to continue our holiday (5 hour drive) !

We are back at La Tercia the end of Feb so our place should be almost complete by then.

Speak soon

Hi Kevin and Carole

We are your close neighbours. We are on the same street as yourselves but the other side of the Spa. Just to let you know in the opposite block to yours there is an resident electrician "Nick" if you find yourself needing any lights fitted etc, let us know we will pass on his number (be wary of the builders prices for the extras). We've recently visited the house in January and your block is up and the workmen were hard at it when we left.
Whilst we could fill this page with all the info we have gathered over the last two years, we think it best you let us know if we can help in anyway.

Speak soon

Hi All

We drove past your development after having visit UGR last week - looks good and as Brian says - "What Spa" and is it open to the public or just owners at Nueva La TErcia?

Hi Brian and Sue/Sandra

The proposed spa at La Nueva Tercia is positioned towards the middle of the site, it's the big brown building next to one of the swimming pools.

Originally the building was to be a small commercial centre (shops, bar , restaurant etc) but the developer has changed his mind.

As far as we are aware, when complete it will comprise of hydrotherapy pools, saunas and gym etc. Would have thought it will be open to the public for it to be viable. We are under the impression that it is the developer who is running it as an independent business.

Jon and Tracy may know more as have visited recently.
