Swing Apartment - bedroom size
« on: January 19, 2008, 10:19:07 PM »
We are new to this site, and hope someone can help us out. We have purchased a ground floor swing apartment in phase 1, and are trying to work out if the second smaller bedroom can accommodate 2 single beds?
We have found the site very useful, thanks to all for there knowledge.
Many Thanks
Janice and Martin

Hi Janice
Just fresh from a lovely 2 week trip to Spain staying at our lovely apartment at Roda, but inspecting our new pad at La TErcia.  We up with Richard and Jemma whilst we over there and indeed discussed that very question.  The opinion is that it may be a little tight for 2 x single beds but would take bunk beds - perhaps Richard and Jemma can clarify on that.  We could not get into their apartment but that was the possible view on this subject.

Hi all,
The size of the 2nd bedroom depends on the type of building. We are in a type d and the 2nd bedroom is 6.80 m2. We have worked out that we cant fit 2 single beds in but we are looking at the possibility of kangaroo beds. Basically its a single bed with a pullout single making a double. This way clients can choose and the 2nd room doesnt get needlessly cluttered.
Just our thoughts on it.
Richard and Jemma

Hi All

This small bedroom is in the only thing we swing owners seemed to be concerned about !!  - when we were over in December Dave managed to get into one of the apartments (don`t tell UGR) we don`t think a 4`6 bed will fit in and  we are looking into a 4`0 (120cm) or the stowaway bed you mentioned by Richard and Jemma (we got a d style also).

we are going over again early march we a bit of luck we might come back with more info - unless someone moves in before and can measure.

Hi all fellow Swing Purchasers,
The second bedroom is certainly generating a lot of interest. I suggested that planning would be more easily dealt with if the plans gave dimensions rather than total meterage but this information is not available apparently. I do have another query that maybe forum members can help with. Where is the washing machine going to be placed in the Swing apartments? I can't seem to find any indication of it on the plan (w're typeD).
Keep up the good work - love visiting the site. Makes July 2009 seem all the closer

Hi James and Debbie

We are purchasing an apartment in Block 17.  We were over in Spain last week and we were told by UGR that the apartments were all pretty much completed and they were just waiting for the Town Hall visit.  Completion for Blocks 9-17 could be in May!

Hi All
Just got back from Spain the site is looking really good - however we do have MAJOR concern with the patio area.
I don`t know if you any of you are aware of this (we certainly did not) they have fitted the water boiler (approx 4`0 high) and the washing on the patio taking up approx 1.8sq meters it also looks very unsightly (we have pictures which we will attempt to load later today) - I have discussed with John Bernie the possibility of these being boxed in but the answer is no.

love to know your thoughts on this

Lynne and Dave

Swing Type D got room dimensions?
« Reply #12 on: March 14, 2008, 09:59:53 PM »
Hi,
Has anybody who's completed on a Swing Type D apartment had chance to measure the rooms yet?
We are waiting to complete and looking at furniture so any exact measurements would be useful.
