Hi everyone,

We asked Michel about the colours of the kitchen cabinets, having looked at the show villa and been very impressed with the dark brown finish. He said the apartment kitchens would be finished as in the show apartment , not very happy about that ,as it's a mixture of a beechy colour and a very bleached don't know what.  He said we would be able to apply to the builders after completion to have the fronts of the cupboards and drawers changed!! at what cost he didn't know

On the question of the community charges, he's guessing at around 500 euros. He didn't know the name of either the golf management company or the possible golf fees, although Malc explained that they needed to be careful not to price the regular players off the course. As a non-golfer, he said he would pass on our comments to his boss and also asked us to send headquarters an e-mail explaining the benefits to them for it not to be purely a pay and play, as they said they want to present this their flag ship course in a different way to anything else in spain, the reason for the aqua driving range being one attraction, no-one else has. Needless to say Malc's on the case!!

A couple of nice touches, around the site there are sets of four green low-rise dustbins set in groups. Apparently, we put our sorted rubbish in these and it's fed straight to the large waste area on the right-hand side of the course.  The water cleansing areas, just as we enter the site are hopefully going to be  covered from the concrete lumps that they are now and be made to look hacienda-style, just awaiting final agreement. The area along the road way between us and Tercia Real will be planted with a mass of mature trees, because their flags are bigger than ours are!

Michel says he hasn't yet seen the drawings for the club house, but has been told that there will be a viewing terrace overlooking the driving range to make a good social place.

Overall, although there is a dissapointment with the kitchen cabinets, we are very impressed with how much they have done and how much care they are taking in small details.

Hi everyone, again,

Just had a toot at the last photos, think they were Gary's. Sorry to labour the point, but it seems that we are being given different information by the same person. When we spoke to Michel, on the 27th, he said that the finish of the kitchen cabinets would be the same as in the show apartment, but seems to be telling something else to someone else, needless to say we're slightly confused, (we know it doesn't take much!!), as he especially said we would be able to change them after completion at what cost
he didn't know. Would the next people to go out there have another go at getting to the bottom of this mystery, it would be nice to see the brown finish as it does look very modern and classy!! ???

Thank you muchly

Malc and Jane

We have been talking to someone who has just purchased a villa on another golf course a short distance from our site. He has now paid in full for the property and has now been told it would be 6 - 8 weeks for the services to be connected to his property. Is this the norm? Does anyone know what our situation is regarding this?

Hi All,

I called into the sales office the other day to get some answers to a couple of questions that some of you had asked me over the last couple of weeks and here are the answers :

Utilities will be connected already and will just need to be switched on which should happen as soon as each client completes at the notary or thereabouts. It sounds like they are going to try and do as some of the other developers have done for ease of connection.

I hope that bit of info helps for now.

Regards
Rob.

Hi Allan and Janet

The above information came from Rob when he visited the sales office a few weeks ago. I have heard that 6-8 weeks is the time scale for utilities connections at some developments. Hopefully not at La Tercia ;)

I think Sandra may have a little more information regrading the utilities connections at Roda.

Hi Alan& Janet

I heard that allegedly Polaris at El Valle are not connecting up utilities for some 4 - 6 weeks after completion and I don't know the reason why!  We were thrilled because  Roda connected us up at completion i.e. just switched the connected utilities into our name at the notaries - we paid a 200 connection fee per utility.  This is what I understand United are going to do also - which is pretty good as you can't get anything done until you have power and water i.e. the major clean before you put in your furniture!

Hope you are both well.

Hi everybody,

This is the reply we received from UGR this morning regarding completing late December.

however, the completion date is set for the end of December

of January 2008.

Key-handover will begin in January/February 2008

In a short while you will receive a letter notifying yourselves about
 when
key-ghandover for your property is set to take place.

A few questions that i have asked UGR,

1. What is the situation regarding internet connection / t.v systems, telephone system will this be available at completion.

2. The alarm system, will his be connected to the security company at completion, CCTV camera`s when will these be in operation. Until the commercial centre is up and running where will the security office be located.

3. Are there security guards patrolling the site, during evening time?

Perhaps those owners who have completed can answer these questions?, will post the answers from UGR once they are recieved.

Hi Dave ,

When we was last over in Feb , we asked John about the TV and he said that the big sat dish which you now pass on your way into the site will be coupled up to every property and you just have to plug your TV into the socket and hey presto , more channels than you can shake a stick at.

The charges , he informed us , will be minimal and will be included in the community charges.

I don`t want Eileen missing her favourite soaps, will i am watching super league in a bar somewhere ;)

Anyway should have a answer soon, Helen from UGR is checking the queries out.

Hi Neil & Marg,

Did John mention anything about the actual channels we will receive - assuming it would be some UK terrestrial channels like BBC, ITV, etc plus a selection of satellite channels ??

Thanks

Hi Gordon ,

No , he just said when he asked the bloke who is installing the dish about what channels , the bloke laughed and said it would be easier to list the channels not available.

But I would have thought that possibly you should have a box in the apartment in order to select "English" channels - would love to get to the bottom of this though.

Maybe someone who has already completed (think there were a few recently), could advise on this one as soon as they find out - I'm sure it will be one of the 1st things people look to get sorted out  ??

Thanks
