Hi

Kaz raised the point of storage in the apartments (specifically the Green).  Can we please ask United if there is going to be provision within any of the apartments for storage which could be locked if required (apart from the wardrobes).  If people are going to let their property then I suspect they will want somewhere to lock away personal possession not for the use of tenants.

Best regards
Sandra

Hi
We would be interested to know if
1.there will be enough room in the gardens of the Tee appatments for a small swimming pool?
2.If it would be better suited to a splash/Hot/Tub?
3.If either of these options is available to us?

Thanks

hi everyone,

on the point of electrical points!!

As nearly all our waking thoughts are of our new life in Spain,(sad we know but we're sure we're not the only ones on countdown) little questions keep popping up. We fire them at our agents who seem to be taking an inordinate amount of time getting in touch with the builders. Does anyone know if there is a hope of getting the electricians to put in extra sockets in the utility for perhaps a dishwasher, and on the outside terrace to hook up to either an irrigation system or outside lights? We're not able to get out to the site until 17th April, so if nobody knows the answers, would the lucky people who are out there before us mind asking the question.

Hi,

If Dave picks this question up before he leaves I am sure he will get you an answer.
I never looked at how many sockets are included within the Utility areas, it’s a good question…I am sure during a past visit I’ve been told that there is a power supply outside.

If Dave doesn’t return with the answer to this. I’ll put the question to United if you wish.

Hi everyone,HELP REQUIRED

Just been reading through "Questions to UGC" from some time ago, and in answer to a question concerning the change of colour for the kitchen cabinets to a dark brown,UGC referred us to their website and then into united design. We think that there must be more than one website as we have been regularly checking into www.unitedgolfresorts.com ( this is very poor as it still doesn't have the news section up and running after nearly a year it just says it will be available shortly!! )and there certainly isn't a section to do with united design.Does anyone have any other information to do with this, or are we,as internet and computer beginners missing the point somewhere? The suspense is killing us 'cos we have to wait another seven weeks before we can get out there!!!

Waiting with baited breath!!

Malc and Jane,

Can’t comment on the web site but connection with the kitchen colours, I can tell you that the floor tiles are now a ceramic tile, not the original terracotta; the colour matches the marble perfectly and looks good. We were told that United intend to change the colour of the kitchen units in the apartments but they could not confirm the colour or show us any examples.

The fridge will be in white in the apartments and silver in the villas.

Pete made a good point, in that some of the units could be taller to make the most of the space…..

In all, I think, that the changes being made are for the best and United the have our interests at heart.

Hi Everyone

Thought that I would post some of the information that we received at La Tercia whilst we were in Murcia during February.

1.  It has been previously suggest on the forum that the Master's Apartment lounge wall between lounge and adjacent bedroom had been moved by several inches.  This is not the case and it remains as per plans.

2.  Ground floor apartment gardens will be tiles to match the terrace surrounded by a low double wall which will be planted with shrubs. If grass is required this will be at extra cost.

3.  Teresa, in UGR Sales Office at La Tercia, will post details of UGR's furniture packages upon request.

4.  To establish exact room sizes in the apartments it is possible to apply a 1:100 scale to the drawings supplied with your contract

5.  Phase 1 completion is still forecast as December 2007 and Phase 2 as June 2009

6.  It was confirmed that the fridge and washing machine in the apartments will be white and not silver to match the stainless steel cooker.  Silver appliances will be installed in the villas only

7.  We were informed that the permission for the further 9 holes is imminent and that a Phase 3 is likely to be constructed on the far side of these new holes

8.  It was established that for apartments, water and drainage will be available in both the kitchen and utility areas to allow for washing machine and dishwasher

9.  It was confirmed that the Master's apartments will have an additional sink in the Utility area

10.  UGR have decided to board in the apartment ground floor utility areas.  This will be achieved by installing wooden horizontal beams with gaps for light and air.

11. We were informed that exterior changes, such as glazing in the utility area in the upper floors, will require the agreement of all apartment owners in the block

12.  Whilst TV and phone connections were confirmed there was uncertainty about how the internet would be provided - it may be by satellite

13.  It was established that the bedroom over looking the terrace is fitted with a window not patio doors

14.  Master's apartments will have a breakfast bar between the kitchen and lounge - open plan effect - with a range of cupbards underneath on the kitchen side

15.  The main road leading to the site is to be repaired and upgraded by all developers using it on completion of building works.  Don't hold your breathe the MASA site is not due for completion for 10 years

16.  The stone feature in the lounge is now optional - please let UGR know ASAP if you do not require it

17.  The grass on the golf course will be laid during April

18.  Shower screen will NOT be fitted

19.  Solar heating for hot water will be supported by boilers in each apartment

20.  The waste water from accommodation is to be recycled for use on the golf course - guaranteed not to smell.  A massive water recycling plant is currently being constructed underground adjacent to the sales office.

21.  There are no outlets for the cooling/heating systems in the apartment bathrooms and heated towel rails will not be fitted.  The villas will have heated towel rails.

22.  The current sales office building will remain becoming a machinery store for the golf course.  The sales office will move to the commercial centre on the left hand side.

23.  We expressed concern about lack of progress on Phase 1 commercial centre buildings.  Assurances were given that work will progress shortly on completion of the surrounding apartment buildings.

I think that is all for now.   We have information re restaurants which I will post later

Good to see you back safe and sound, we were thinking of you making the channel crossing in all that wind!!!!!
Super report, heavy with info on the Masters, which we were beginning to think had disappeared off the face of the earth.

Hi Sandra

You'll ned to give us a ring.  I have a copy of the Mar Menor Golf Community of Owners minutes which you will find very interesting.  Monthly charges at Mar Menor are 120 Euros a month for 2 bed 1 bathroom villa. This does not include the golf course maintenance.

Fiona

Malc and Jane

We have just copied the photos down from the camera - mostly views of 1, 2 and 3 Masters. We haven't worked out how to post them onto the forum yet.  Crossing wasn't too bad - Pete is good sailor and I have accompanied him on RFA's round the world so I'm not too bad in rough weather.  See you next weekend
