New Bypass at Sucina
« on: July 19, 2007, 10:15:04 AM »
Hi

This information came from CITY COUNCIL OF MURCIA press release.I have translated, the info from Spanish so hope it reads OK.

The new variant of Sucina, will allow to unite Murcia with the beach without crossing pedanía. The Governing body initiates the hiring of the highway, that will be ready before the summer. The Governing body has initiated the proceedings, for the hiring by means of it auctions of the Project of construction of an alternative avenue of passage between Highway MU-301 and the Stroll of the Cemetery in Sucina (Murcia).

The execution of this “variant” will allow to circulate from the MU-301 (zone of beach, from San Javier), in the direction of Murcia, without happening through the center of pedanía of Sucina.

The predicted budget is of 1.3 million Euros and the implementation time of about 5 months, reason why the new avenue will be ready and in operation before the next summer. This new highway will clear the traffic in the urban nucleus of locality.

One is an avenue that will run by the northwest of the urban helmet, and will give service to the new urbanizations that are being constructed in the zone. The new variant will connect with highway MU-301 (Murcia-Saint Javier), and it will have a length of 640 meters. In addition, two public squares will be constructed to facilitate the turns, and the incorporations to the lateral streets. The new avenue will have a width of 13 meters, with a track by each sense and parking to one of the sides.

All more good news for the Murcia region.

Hi

A photo of the new by pass at Sucina Village has been loaded onto the photo gallery under HR general.

The bypass will branch off the MU301 and around the back of the football pitch before joining a proposed new roundabout at the top of Sucina village.

Hi

It is very good news to the people of Sucina, as the bypass will help to take the HGV traffic away from the centre of the village. The roads around the village are quite narrow, so the bypass will help to reduce the risks of any possible accidents in the village.
