Hi David and all,

I fully agree with what you said. This is a trying time for all, and the presidents do a fantastic job. I wouldn't take on their responsibilities for less than 100k  :o :o :o

Please keep the updates coming through, and Thank you all for your sterling efforts, hard work, commitment and dedication to La Tercia.

David,

My correspondance with Sandra is reasonable and direct. I receive no correspondance ,am given scant notice of meetings, was not warned that a decision of the majority of members at AGM was to be reversed by executive decision. I flew to spain to participate in a process. The decision was reversed without notice to me . I do not care if the presidents are paid or not . I do not agree that they do an excellent job as I have no way of knowing. All that I ask is that I be notified and where appropriate consulted.

At last years AGM E260,000 fell from the sky on the day of the meeting to be added to the budget without notice or explanation. As a consequence the budget was rejected. The Presidents in their wisdom subsequently agreed a budget. Surely everyone should have been appraised of this.

I travel to Spain again next weekend to attend the AGM.on tuesday. I find that our community AGM is on the following friday. Why?

Spanish horizontal law is quoted freely as being the underlying rational for the structure of the communities and the basis for decisions made. For example Sandra advises me that six days notice is prescribed under  the act. This is a minimum notice period but is it adequate ?I for example cannot attend the friday meeting. If I had been notified in time or if the meetings had been held on the same day it might be better.

More signifigantly,if the budget is rejected again will the presidents simply ratify it again. If this is likely to happen I might as well go to Skibbereen. Tell the presidents to keep up the fine work.

I can assure you the EGM for the General Community, which was held on the 28 April 2009, to Approve the Budget for the General Community and other items was fully notified to all owners and was attended by owners as well as the elected officials of the communities.  Only one President did not manage to attend but he was represented by a member of his community.   All owners, as I stated, were notified of this EGM as required under the Horizontal Property Act and the minutes of that meeting were also fully distributed to all owners.

The dates of this year's AGM meetings were announced last November and were sent to all owners under cover of both the General Community newsletter and RB12.2 newsletter from Sandra.   We agreed the dates early to enable owners to take advantage of early booking of flights at cheaper rates.  The formal notification went out at the end of last week.

The meetings cannot possibly be held on one day - there is far too much to discuss at each meeting.  Likewise with locations, the General Community AGM cannot be held in Housing Offices in San Javier since so many owners are expected to attend.  The other sub community AGMs will be held either here on site (RB12.1) or in Housing Offices depending upon which community meeting you attend.

You say you receive no correspondance, therefore may I ask that you inform Housing of your email address and you will then receive the monthly newsletters from Sandra for RB12.2 and from President of the General Community also.

The General President and I look forward to meeting you personally to discuss your concerns.

Please make sure that you let the Administrators have your email address so that you can be put on the distribution list for the newsletters which I circulate via them.

  Sandra and fellow workers,

first and foremost, well done with all your hard work throughout the year!

I am one of the community owners that still have not paid all my community fees (only paid around 800Eur to date).
I must admit i really am finding it difficult to understand how expensive our community fees are in the middle of a recession and would encourage you to continue fighting to get them down to what would be a normal amount.

I'm really not up to date on the budgets etc, but did those who attended last years AGM not agree to vote against the proposed (over the top budget)?

So why is it that everybody is still being pushed into paying nearly 1200Eur per year?

I'm sure you are working really hard without any renumeration but what has changed since that vote?
(excuse my ignorance i probably have missed something)

kind regards,(well done and thanks honestly)

                                                                                               SEAN.
