Completion necessity
« on: June 17, 2007, 03:35:43 PM »
We have purchased a green apartment due for completion in Dec 07. We are clients of MRI but they are vague re closing costs. I am wanting to know about the notary, I presume that we have to have the mortgage in place ready to go and that United Golf set the agenda for completion. Can our solicitors do the notary bit for us or do we have to be present. I am sure someone has done this before and can assist. Also is ther a connection cost for the utilities or do we just take them over from the developer as in the UK.

I also note that there is a planned further 9 hole to the course and a phase three. Does anyone have the plans.

I also presume that the Golf course will be playable upon completion on 07 and the public area will be functional with resteraunts etc.

Sorry I'm rambling on

Ricardo

Hi Ricardo

Welcome to the forum, regarding costs for completion etc, if you use the search button at the top of the forum I`am sure you will find the answers to your questions regarding mortgages, power of attorney etc. I think most of these questions have been covered somewhere on the forum.

No plans forth coming yet from UGR re the next 9 holes, still at planning stage.

We spoke to Michel last week and he still say`s that completion will be Dec07.

I have updated your account to a la tercia owner, this allows you to view the la tercia communidad board on the forum.

I hope this is of some help to you.

Hi All,

Nearing completion what exactly do we need to have set up in order for everything to happen as smoothly as possible? Can't help feeling we haven't done enough….

For example; We have our NIE’s in place, which are held by our solicitors. That's about it! Do we need anything else set up? i.e. bank accounts, wills etc in order for us to complete?

Phase one should be complete NEXT MONTH! ;D

Hi Gary

I know that feeling all too well !- just make sure you have cash in your bank account and the snagging organised and the rest is painless as your lawyer does his stuff and just sit back and wait for the phone call!
