Air conditioning
« on: August 23, 2018, 10:17:24 PM »
Hi

I was hoping someone could help. For the last two days I have had an error appearing on my
Air con wall unit saying “error code E    5”

The only way to remove it is turn the unit off and on but then it comes back

The apartment is definitely not cooling down when the air con is running.

Has anyone else Come across this and how does it get fixed? I leave to go home tomorrow but would like to know what to do for when i next come out

Thanks
Dan

Someone on the Facebook group said it meant ‘no gas’.

Hi Heather.

Thanks for your reply and info from the Facebook page, that is an interesting assessment though, I have never had gas in the apartment, disconnected five years ago when I bought it and everything is electric in there.

Food for thought 🤔

One thing for sure is, I cannot live without air con, it was so so hot in there. 😂

Hi there
Just to clarify - I don’t mean domestic gas. All air con systems have gas to make it cold. It’s not the same as heating gas.

We don’t have domestic gas in our apartment either.

Hope that makes sense.
