Hi Cas & Steve

Welcome to Murcia-Golf and all that it has to offer - I am sure you will find being a member of this wonderful Forum of great benefit.

If you want to meet some of us sooner rather than later, check out the details for the social get together in Coventry on 6 September.  This will be our 4th meet up organised by Dave Potter and its a great way to meet others from Phase 1 and hopefully a lot more from Phase 2.

Best regards
Sandra

Hi all

I know that a few of you own a property in Roda, and we were shown around the site in November when we bought our apartment in United Golf, Roda is fab, so do you think that United will be as good as Roda?
I have been reading all the positive things that are happening in phase one, and when ours is ready next year, all the community things should be resolved, and it would be great for all us second phasers if some of the first phasers could put together a "don't do this" list, as you've all been through what we will be going to do.
Is there any solid plans for the commitee yet, sometimes its hard to follow the trail of subjects, as there are so many different ones.

Thanks

Paul & Edna

Hi Paul & Edna

I think that must be me as I don't know or am aware of any other Roda Golf owners other than me.  Anyway, I think Roda Golf is fab and I know that one or two people who own property at La Tercia have stayed at my apartment, and they have told me that they like Roda as well.

But, Roda and UGR are entirely different resorts and both will have a lot to offer - I would say that they are probably 2 of the best resorts in the area.  Roda has an Andulacian village feel and will offer a hotel and spa when it is totally finished, whereas United offer a rural retreat with all the facilities you could possibly need (eventually).

Re the Comunidad - we can only really form that once the first AGM has been called, but I am sure that if you have any questions about anything on the Forum, then any one of us will only be too pleased to assist.

Welcome to www.murcia-golf.co.uk and Welcome as a fellow La Tercian!

Hi Paul and Edna

Not being a Roda owner, and not wanting to compare resorts i do think that La Tercia will be up there with the best of them 8) I would think a year down the line from now, everyone will be looking back and wondering what all the fuss was about ;D

After just returning form the site last night and spending a few days at our apartment installing the furniture etc, the solar heating panel system these are now currently being connected. Builders supply of water, electricity at the moment, yes there are few hiccups but the site is coming together just ask the owners who are resident on site :)

The 1st phase early owners should have resolved the problems for the 2nd phase owners who will hopefully have a smooth completion. A good idea to have a list of do`s and don't`s for phase 2 completion,  the 2nd phaser`s may like to attend the social gettogether at Coventry in sept ;D take a look at the murcia-golf social event board for details 8)

The sports area is starting to take shape with the construction of the stonework wall and fencing, gym and community centre buildings are not to far away from completion. So we will not just have a golf course, but bowling green which will also attract the local bowling community, tennis courts, football field.

Any one have any other thoughts?

Dave ( ready for the next trip out on thursday ;D )

Dave   I agree with all you have said.  Sue came out with me for the first time in about a year and a half.

She was amazed at the site.  If you have a little vision you can see that, when finished this will be a great community with great facilities. Our pool looks great and the builders are working long hours to
finalise all the other areas.

Sorry we could not meet up, it would have been good to talk.

We are not out again till 19th of August.

cheers  Brian

Hello all,
Just a quick note on really important issue, not AC, not water or gas but something even more important that..........

does anyone know if we have printed score cards for our course? Not sure how far they have got with that side yet. If not i'm thinking of making my own using the course info on the UGR site. Would be nice to keep track of my scores, also have SI been sorted for each hole?

Regards Richard

Hi Richard

Of course they have - they are in the sales office ready for us to collect along with the air conditioning remotes (NOT).  Please please excuse my sense of humour - just had a trying 3rd inspection of the snags they haven't done!!!

Sandra

However, Richard my eye is on the prize!!!!

Hi all
I have attached a basic score card that may be useful if your playing and keeping scores. Please download it if you want.
All of the information for each hole is taken from UGR's website so I hope it's right. Please tell me if not. (ive updated the 8th being a par 5 on the card!)

;D ;D count down is now on for our holiday!

Hi Richard and Jemma,
With all the doom, gloom and despondency creeping into the forum lately it's a nice change to get onto the pleasant subject of our golf course.
As far as I know,no SI's have been sorted by UGR yet and so it will be something that the organisers of our opening golf bash in October will have to address.
My contribution in this respect (after playing the course eight times on my last visit) is that the short par four sixth is probably SI 9 and maybe the long par five eigth should be SI 1. What do others think and any other suggestions?
Looking at the provisional scorecard from UGR's website, I think that I wouldn't put too much faith in the yardages as for example it shows the very short but interesting par three fourth as playing 178yds. As an average eighteen handicapper myself, I only play a nine iron into this green and actually birdied it once! So I think it plays more like 125 to 130 yds from the back tee.
Any other views?
Regards,
Ray
P.S. Are we going to get Roy to snag the course?

Hi Ray,
You say par 5 on the 8th, according to UGR's website they say it is a par 4, having never played it yet what do you think?

Also, where is the tee for the 1st havnt managed to walk all of the course, and is it easy to get to with trolleys?

Hi Richard,
I don't think even Tiger would make the eigth in two so for me it's definitely a par five.
The first tee is right in front of the first villa.
If anyone has played the course recently have they completed the ninth tee yet?
When we were last out this tee was not playable.

Ray
