Hi Gary,

Could you please ask if there is a proposed tie-up with the golf course at the adjoining new resort (Los Granados?). Our agent said that the two 9-hole courses could be combined, giving us 18 holes. If true, does this mean reciprocal use of two 9-hole courses or two courses which are somehow linked to give the possibility of a true 18 holes?

Regards,

Bill

Hello neighbours

Great site and so really pleased to get feed back from fellow owners. I got the link from C2C following a recent enquiry as to how the development was progressing. I signed for a Tee apartment early last year and now looking forward to visiting within the next month or so to see how the site is coming along. Thanks for the useful information updates.

Hi to everyone

I am very interested in a rental marketing operation and was in the process of sorting out a website for this and another property we have an interest in at Roda.  Would be good to get in touch to discuss with all and everyone if that is the intention.

Re the golf course, a long time ago when we committed to La Tercia (last March) I was also told then that there were plans to extend the golf course.  Of course, being part of the United family we will also have use, I believe, of the other resorts when they come on line, but of course at the moment I have no idea when that will be.

We are going out in mid May for a couple of weeks and are looking forward to seeing progress on the site but any news from anyone else before then would be great.

Best regards
Sandra

Hi,

Just returned from La Tercia. Good to see a few new members.
I have all the answers to the questions you asked. There are so many I will sort them out and post later tonight.
See the subject of rental has been raised. It has been my intention to develop part of this site for this use. 'Murcia Golf' will be an established site on the web by 2007-2008. There is no reason why this forum couldn't continue along side such a site.
Must go to work now...see you later

Hi All,

Just returned from our short stay. Our hotel was in Murcia and would recommend it to anyone for a short visit. It truly is a lovely city with a lot of character and hardly any parking! We sure did a lot of miles visiting Cartagena, La Manga Club, Cabo de Palos, Los Alcazares and even managed a trip to Ikea! Then of course the site. It was my first visit to the office and the show apartments lived up to all expectations. I was a bit disappointed that the show villas are not completed. We were told that this was due to the many construction changes being made along the way. As our first trip to the site was Sunday we were able to go inside them. They have a very enviable view of the site. The site is well under way with earth moving equipment busy changing the whole area’s appearance. I have taken many photos of the site. I’ll post in the news section when I put them on.

So, here are the questions you asked - plus a few of our own:-

•   Is the development on track to complete Dec 07.
Whole of phase one is on track for completion Dec 2007. Including - Golf course, sports facilities and commercial area. Some will be finished before but keys will all be released by the builders in Dec.

•   Have all the Tee apartments in location m12 block 9 been sold (this is where our apartment is).
Sorry Dave, had a bit of a problem with this one. Have you mistyped the number? They could not see a Tee apartment M12 Block 9!

•   If you can find out any more information on the community fees etc.
As Sue previously posted, the estimate for the community fee is €600.

•   We would also be interested in how many apartments are left for sale in the Masters building.
There were six available. Two ground floor and four on second floor.

•   Our agent tells us they have started on the golf course.
The ground work for the entire site is under way. The site and the course are two separate projects. I have taken many photos of the site, keep an eye one Site Photos.

•   Could you please ask if there is a proposed tie-up with the golf course at the adjoining new resort (Los Granados?). Our agent said that the two 9-hole courses could be combined, giving us 18 holes. If true, does this mean reciprocal use of two 9-hole courses or two courses which are somehow linked to give the possibility of a true 18 holes?
We asked this and were told that the only reciprocal use would be with the other United Golf’s sites. The nearest will be Bamendi. This is in the process of applying for building licences and appoox 10 Min drive north. I have been given a map showing all of the existing and proposed golf courses. I’ll put in on the golf page when I get chance. I also have the score card for the course.

•   Sports area to include tennis and a gym.

•   What is the expected completion date for the entire site? It seems that this is dependant on when the second phase is released.

•   We are expecting further info on the furniture packs. Will “forward” to anyone that wants it.

•   Security will operate from two entrances. The site will also have a CCTV system as well as a roaming patrol.

•   I posted a topic “open plan, planters” We were told that all gardens will have options. No info available as yet.

•   Ground floor apartments will have option to close utility area wall.

•   No option to change kitchen units or worktops.

•   Asked why the swimming pools are turning into fountains! In the original documentation and in the model there are large pools shown between the apartment blocks.
One of the reasons I selected the property I did was because of it’s location in relation to the pool. The representative at the site is trying to confirm what the architect’s final plan is. Still waiting for a phone call…

Please don’t hold me responsible for any of the answers here. We visited the site on two separate days and were given conflicting answers to a couple of our questions!

Cheers  :)

Hi Gary

Hope you had a good time in spain and thanks for answering the many questions so quickly. It is a little concerning to hear about the possibility of the swimming pools being turned into fountains,as this was also a major factor in our purchase.I wonder whether if enough property owners voiced their opinion on this matter the developer could be influenced.
We also would be interested in any info regarding furniture packs.

Thanks.
Valerie k.

Hi,

The pool issue for me is that there is now a fountain between blocks 10 and 14. With a smaller looking pool now being outside of block 15. My wife visited the site in October and was then told that the plans showing the fountain were a mistake! So we had no concern until last weekend noticing the plans still show the fountain.
The site model still shows the original pools.
Sue, how long have you been waiting for your reply?

Dave, did you notice that M12 block 9 were missing from the sales sheet I sent to you last week? Looking at it now Blocks 1 and 10 are also missing.
Sure there is a rational explanation…

Cheers  :)
