Hi

On Tuesday 7th July there is a bar night at the sports bar to discuss forthcoming events. Ray from brightsky will be there to answer any questions about broadband internet connection. His company work on the basis of only charging for the months you are at the resort which may suit a lot of people.

To all Brightsky customers and potential customers

I have today emailed the Administrators and asked them to place on the agenda for the forthcoming General Community EGM the retention of the Brightsky aerials at La Tercia.  Because the aerials are contrary to the By Laws it will require discussion at the EGM and then a vote by all owners.  I have suggested to her that the current Brightsky aerials are allowed to remain until the results of the voting - this will take a couple of months at the very minimum to hold the EGM, write the minutes, send out the letters and then give owners the minimum of 30 days to respond if they object.

I hope this meets with the approval of the Brightsky customers and potential customers.  it will be up to the current customers to drum up additional customers to convince Ray that La Tercia is financially viable for his company.  I have emailed Ray to tell him what I have done to try to assist his company continue on the urbanisation.

Regards

Fiona

Hi Fiona

Whilst I agree with the sentiment I do not think the urbanisation should be closed to other providers of the same service - we should make this a generic permission rather than company specific.

Hi Fiona

I agree with your posting with regards BrightSky as this is already present on United Golf, there are only a few of their aerials which are not unsightly and as far as I am aware they only propose one further aerial on phase 2.  I can see Sandra's  point about being company specific but if we are not selective about which company we allow then there will be too much competion and no company will be able to make it viable to be on UGR. We also do need to limit the number of aerials as too many would make the resort unsightly.

For what it's worth our views are along the lines of:

Brightsky - We only require Internet/SAT when we or friends are staying on the site, no way do I intend to get into an agreement of long term commitment paying out hard earned cash to no use, however I do agree that un-sitely aerials should not be allowed.

Swimming Pools - Can't believe some things we have read, we also as do our teenagers enjoy playing games in the pool, ie bat and ball, Lilo's volley ball, and as responsible adults we value other peoples peace as we do our won and would not dream of being so noisy to upset others, BUT we have bourght an apartment to enjoy when we want and to a degree how we want. As for not using it after 9:00pm, what a joke, currently there is little else to do as not everybody wants to sit in the sports bar drinking!

We think common sens prevails here..

Dear Andy
Quite right, common sense should prevail here, however the pools on M15 are open from 8am until 9 pm. I would have thought 13 hours per day is long enough. We all live on a community and people who's apartment back on to a pool have the right to some quiet time too!

Hopefully the rules will help us all enjoy our investment to the full. Not every pool user is as considerate as yourselves!

Hear Hear Richard - the pool has to be closed at 9 pm out of respect for ground floor owners and because sometimes in season this is when pool man comes to clean the pool and ditto the opening hours of 9 am for the same reasons.

As everyone says, its all about respect for one another.

Cheers

As a pool user, we like to have a good time, but again understand respect for others.
Lets hope our holiday starting next monday goes without too much trouble.

Thinking of making an investment in La Tercia, I am wondering if anyone can give an option as to the viability of the developer. In other words how likely is the development to be completed in its entirety

Was there any further movement on Brightsky or do Cablevision still have the monopoly on the site? I have been trying for weeks to get hold of cablevision to sort out Internet and maybe TV but either nobody answered or if I'm lucky like today I get a jolly chap who can't speak a word of English, which doesn't help as I can only speak a few words of Spanish.
Brightsky also have a web site whereas cablevision seem not to..... Any help appreciated.

Hi Lynne

Sad to say - despite an earlier posting about the merits of a 2010 bash - there was some little positive response but not a lot.

So, at this stage it is not certain there will be a "do" this year - but I really hope there is.
