Hi Sandra

We think that would be a great idea - less maintenance, more hardwearing and looks good all year round.

Hi all,
Any chance of any pictures of astro turf round the phase 2 pools, can,t quite visualize how it will look.   What i can say is ,thankyou to everyone who has worked so hard to make all the gardens and landscaping look really beautiful, La Tercia is really starting to bloom again.

Astro-Turf sounds like a good idea. The roundabout at the start of phase 2 has this and it looks great. Does this mean that we are getting our outside areas completed? If so this is great news as the phase one area looks beautiful but to be honest ours is lacking.

Hi Al
The AstroTurf is OK but would look more pleasing to the eye if it did not finish with a harsh straight line have way across the small splash pool needs more though rather than just placing down a couple of lengths of AstroTurf might have been better if they followed the contours f the small splash pool .

Hi all
The astroturf is an ok idea but might have been more pleasing to the eye if it was finished with the contours ofthe small splash pool instead of a straight line right across the pool as i said before needs more work to make it look good

Hi Jim and Rae
Thanks for posting the photos of the astroturf.  It will be good not to have to walk on red hot paviers in the summer months but it does look a bit odd.  Still,at least it looks as if the builders are doing their bit to spruce the place up - perhaps the "garden" areas at the entrance doors and the paths to the pools will be next!
Hopefully, I should see you on 1st July although doubtful it Alasdhair will make it.

Hi all,
I,ve got to agree ,it does look not quite finished off. Does need abit of shape and edgeing to blend into the surrounding area, the idea is good just needs a bit more of it to avoid looking like an after thought.

Hi,

Yes, I agree it doesn't look finished.

Sorry if I've missed this info but why has the builder chosen to do this anyway? Had the communidad requested them to do so? It just seems odd to me that given all the other issues they should spend money where its not perhaps urgently needed?

Hi All,

Just back, adding a bit of colour is nice, great for laying on, but it does get very hot towards late afternoon laying on it.

To me, it has just been thrown down, joints have not even been joined and i could see a problem with it later on. It would have been nice to ask the owners first on M20, not just stick it there, that will do.

Gaz, don't forget to take the lawn mower with you, it will need a trim ;D

hiya,

our thoughts are the astroturf is a bit random but at least it provides an opportunity of laying on the ground on a towel after the pool without having to lie on hard bricks!  I agree that it could definitely be more sympathetic and contoured to the shape of the pool area and it is definitely better than having real grass which would then come out and float around in the pool.

Something that would be nice to think about in the future as we become a community on phase 2 would be whether cocunut/grass fencing around the fence would be a good idea, it might decrease the wind whistling past wet ears whilst in the pool and you wouldn't be so on view as everyone drives past ;), just a thought...

Hi All,

My thoughts exactly, I love our pool area but it just needs a little bit of privacy and coconut fencing would be an ideal solution.any more ideas??

We have put a false hedge on our fence, its very easy to attach, it comes on a roll, you can see how it looks, we are on M22,
