Ridiculously high DD request from Iberdrola
« on: May 17, 2011, 07:47:57 PM »
Hi All,
Anybody else had this problem. I have only used my apartment for 1 week this year yet Iberdrola are now insisting that I owe them 1251 Euros for this period, attempting and failing to claim this by DD early this week. They are now threatening to cut off my supply unless I pay them in full - anybody any idea how I can resolve this??
Regards
Ian

Hi Ian

A couple of people on the Resort have had high readings.  It is possible that the Landlords supply meter has been read by mistake.  The reference number of your meter on the bill should be the same as the one at the apartment.  If it is not then another meter has been read by mistake.  Ask them to read the meter again.

Hi Ian,

I had the same issue last year. I found out that the meter for the whole of my block had been used instead of my meter.
I had my meter read in the cupboard on the ground floor (obviously if you are in an apartment block). Sent this off to Iberdrola. My next visit went into Los Alcazares to Iberdrola office and met with Fatima who speaks excellent english. She sorted issue and arranged for the money to be transferred back to my account.

Fatima phone number: 0034 968 574 908

You could ring her first and ask which is best way to resolve issue
