Hello All,

Do you think it would be nice to hold our fourth consecutive La Tercia owners party?

In past years we have held a poll to determine peoples preferred date for the event, I hope you agree its the fairest way to choose the date. Therefore I've started this poll to gauge interest. I've assumed that the same time of year is preferred. If you have suggestions for other dates to be included in the poll please post them here.

Also, if there's anyone who like to participate in the organisation of the day, please do let me know.

The poll is set to run for 30 days. You only have one vote and are able to change your mind.

Well, the 24th is out in front by 72%. Are the flights cheap that weekend or something?

Hi All,

The poll has now closed with the 24th September being the most favoured date.

We are currently communicating with Jose to confirm the booking of the clubhouse.

Further news will follow.

Following last year we are hoping for a few changes generally. The main one being we require the meal to be served inside - unless there is some kind of heatwave! Tables will be reserved with nameplaces. Monies will be payable on-line before the event.

Any other suggestions would be greatfully received.

Hi Gary,
   Looking forward to that & already in my diary!
   Can I make one tiny suggestion- a few people felt that there was far too much food, even though it was all delicious & well worth every penny, but it doesn't leave room for the main course & worse still--the drink following!
   Maybe I should volunteer for caddying (ex 13.7 h/c), that way I could walk up an appetite!!
  Well, its only my thought, maybe some others would disagree. It still wont stop a great night.

Josie, too much food, well that was a shock. Thanks for saying though, people need to speak up or you just don't realise.
Maybe we could go more for quality than quantity?
Josie, there is another option as opposed to walking the golf course - you could just sit next to Big Gaz......

Gaz, I'm sure there will be a golf comp and if someone would like to organise bowls that would be great.

Hi Gary,

Before we book our flights just checking that 24 September is definite?

We agree that there were too many tapas last year, delicious though they were.

One point we would like to make is that we would much prefer to eat on the terrace - much more atmospheric than inside.

One or two people we have spoken to feel the same, as the lighting in the Casa Club is a bit stark.

What do others think?

Is the 24 September definite please? Would like to get flights booked up if possible.

On a completely different tack, we still haven't had any paperwork re our community fees for 2011. Should we have heard by now?

We hope that the bash is still on the 24 September as we have already booked our flights. 

Ray and I also agree with you re eating on the terrace we thoroughly enjoyed it last year outside.

Yes, the date is definite.

Its difficult to communicate with Jose, so we are waiting for Luis to visit the site at Easter before we discuss menu options etc.

Only a few more weeks and we will post further info.

Sorry I forgot to answer your previous question with regard to where we eat.

I agree that last year using the terrace worked well but we were very lucky with the weather. If you remember in previous years we've had thunder storms on the same weekend. Therefore we are trying to cover all bases. Due to the size and layout of the clubhouse, there isn't a perfect solution?

Jose has said he will open upstairs for this year. We intend to ask for him to be flexible on the day in the event of inclement weather the tables could be moved inside. There are also issues with entertainment, again, due to the size of the clubhouse.

Iv txted Jose to ask him to have a couple of menu,s ready for when i get there, think last years menu was 15 euros? ill ask for the same to see what he comes up with, ill mention about may be taking 1 of the starters off? gaz dont worry, ill tell him you still want the 20 starters, but as gary has mentioned, ill have to ask how many can be seated indoors? as we may not be so lucky with the weather this year,
Also ill book a table for the ryder cup presentation for the sunday 26th June, ill see what kind of meal & price he can do for us then too,
