Murcia Furniture - know anyone reliable with a van?
« on: August 31, 2010, 01:09:43 PM »
Hi All
I have just found out that Murcia Furniture is now in administration so if any of you have outstanding items with them, you should get in touch with them quick.
This has now put us in a bit of a panic as they still have a few items belonging to us which we had hoped to have delivered at the end of September. Apparently they are no longer able to deliver and we need to make arrangements to have the items collected and delivered to the apartment. Does anyone have any contacts or recommendations as to who we could contact? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Haz

Approx 3 weeks ago Murcia Furniture went into administration which means that they have continued to trade and I have been involved in liberating furniture for a number of customers

What this means is that they file for protection from creditors and The courts decide if the process is then to bankrupt the company, but the Courts close in Spain in August

This doesn't really matter so much because the director's have been fairly open that they have opened a new business under a new name in the building opposite and bought the stock.

The vans cam be seen emptying the warehouse and moving stock over the road

This has involved me in getting a van and a couple of drivers, visiting MF with their order, getting whatever is available from the order and shipping it into a secure property

There are certainly problems as I have found that orders are not complete and sometins not new but ex-showroom display units

An added complication was that on Friday 13th the warehouse was flooded damaging some stock

Ye explained yes if they have your items they can be collected and I can provide a service to do this for you if you contact

His advice is usually good but inspectahome hasn't fulfilled its commitment to me since the final inspection I paid £100 for two years ago has still not been conducted!

I agree with JIMR---I Hnded over 650euro to inspectahomes----he initially snagged my property then told me that unitedgolfresorts would not let him back into check it again and that was that NO REFUND OF fees/ half a job done but no real apologies.
I guess i live and learn with people like that.

There are 2 sides to every situation and as a company that have carried out thousands of inspections, and that, unlike some of my competitors, I am  still trading and supporting clients, from years ago I would like to respond as it is not that fact that a company may not not complaints but how they respond

This forum is very aware of the situation with UGR and their refusal to issue keys but Sean your statement is actually not true as I actually chased you because I wanted to recheck your properties and have many emails that I sent you requesting that you either send or make keys available this one being on the 6th January, happy to have these audited, in fact 7 emails with no response

Date: Tue, 6 Jan 2009 15:00:58 +0100

Hi Sean I am surprised to see that you are unhappy with the service as I pride myself on the quality of the service we provide and I know that the issues of what UGR have done with providing access are outside of my control

I have no issues doing however many inspections are required to complete your work and will happily do this if you can get me some keys or access via a keyholder

Although things have slowed down I still visit the site at least every 2 weeks, again to visit properties already checked

Jim as you know I visited the site after trying to get access to your property via your keyholders who were either in the UK, or not available or their UK phone didn't work, or the Spanish phone didn't work so again I did try

Now again I am happy to recheck these properties at anytime, I am still in business, still working and still have many happy clients

Sorry just to add Mr Reilly actually paid €650 to have 2 properties inspected, not one, I carried out 3 inspections on each property and would have carried out how ever many inspections required to clear the defects, if Mr Reilly had responded to my requested to provide keys for access

Another mail not answered when he asked for assistance was as follows

OK Sean let's see if I can help but I need answers to a few questions first, sorry

1.   Have you completed on BOTH properties
2.   Have you furnished the properties
3.   Are you looking to rent the properties, shortterm holiday or longterm
4.   Are the properties advertised anywhere
5.   Do you have a website
6.   Do you have a keyholder or rental company

Renting out on UGR is going to be difficult but not impossible and my business is changing with the launch of www.our propertyguide.com which is designed to help people rent their properties and I am happy to help you free to show you that there are some good guys in Spain

WELL, THEN YOU WOULD AGREE THAT YOUR JOB WAS NOT DONE?---- I, LIKE EVERYBODY HAD NO KEYS PRIOR TO COMPLETION---YOU KNEW THIS?/ BUT YOU STILL TOOK MY MONEY AND THEN TOLD ME YOU WERE UNABLE TO CHECK.
WAFFLE ALL YOU LIKE. IM SURE OTHERS SEE YOU FOR WHAT YOU ARE.
AND YOU CHECKED THESE PROPERTIES ONCE AND BY THE WAY THERE WAS NUMEROUS OTHER FLAWS THAT YOU DID NOT REPORT---------NOT JUST A SCAMMER BUT ALSO A BAD SCAMMER.
I am not emailing you any more on this fprum---i will be over soon and i can meet you then so you can return my monies.

Sean I have the emails and proof that I tried to help you and to be honest calling me a scammer is quite honestly insulting and not true and I will ask the moderator to remove this comment

We have to act within the legal structure in Spain which actually does not give the buyer any right to inspect a property prior to completion but most developers allow this.

The buyer has no LEGAL right to refuse to complete based on the snagging defects and LEGALLY has 30 working days, after completion, to correct the defects and we are only allowed to recheck the property, by all of the developers, after the owner has completed, which means that he owner will have been given the keys

You will have had this all explained in the guide that I provide, and the emails that explain the service

Typically on UGR, as I am certain that many happy clients will be happy to confirm, that we were visiting properties n average of 8 times before the defects were cleared with no time limit

If financially people have a problem with propertues we actually try to help them with opions on furniture like nearly new, low cost local bedding suppliers and rental advice and actually save people thousands of euros

In your case I even tried to help you and if you would like to meet me on-site when you are next over I am happy t arrange this so that I can be as you put it confronted

You can also call me at local rate if you or any customer needs to discuss anything or perhaps get details of any of the other 3000 or so happy clients that I can reference on 0117 3500341

I would like to ask one other question considering the inspections were in 2008, have you actually completed on these 2 properties yet, when did you complete and why after completion did you no bother to contact me and now waited more than 18 months to make a public complaint via a forum

When you bokked the service you advised, again in writing, of your completion dates because we do not start the process unless we have a confirmed completion agreement then cleary you delayed this

How in any way, given all of the evidence, the guide, the proven quality of my service to many other buyers on this and other sites, hwo am I a scammer or not delivering what I commit to

Ther is no point in blaming me for any financial situation that yo may have, this is not my fault and I only try to help

I completed but made sure i did not have contact with you as you had irritated me so much by not following through on your job and by continuing to advertise a flawed service.

I am sorry but I rest my case

I actually checked these properties in May 2008, offered to recheck them, asked for keys and now 20 months later you decide to complain when you turned down any offers of help or anything

I suggest that people on this forum should perhaps judge this on your last statement

YOU CHECKED THEM TWICE AND THEN TOLD ME YOU COULD NOT GET BACK INTO CHECK THEM AGAIN, AND THEN YOU OFFERED ME YOUR SERVICES FOR RENTAL.
SURE YOU DONT WORK FOR MRI?
P.S ANYBODY WHO KNEW THEY COULD NOT HAVE DONE THE JOB PROPERLY, WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN THAT MUCH MONEY FOR 2 CHECKS...
YOUR NAME IS WELL KNOWN AND I DONT NEED TO RUN MYSELF DOWN ON THIS FORUM, GIVING YOU MORE PUBLICITY.

Roy, our key-holders were prepared to meet you when suitable to you and e-mailed you to tell you so but got no response from you.
This is the last message I will post to you on the forum.
