How many of us have not considered or used Alicante instead of San Javier.
2 flights per day so you can arrive in the morning and not just in time to go to bed and leave late if you so require (people renting will want the most time in a destination for their money). Cheaper flights (because there are more and they don't subsidise the military).
I can see Corvera being a more direct competitor to Alicante than SJ. and wouldn't be surprised to eventually see SJ. return to either just military use or military and smaller 'internal' flights. I also think that Corvera will take quite a bit of air-traffic from Alicante for those heading South. Makes sense?
Best part is, if we blokes have gone out to Corvera early and had a party the night before so we are all too drunk to pick you girls up from the airport....... it's close enough for you to walk!
