Hi Dave
I wish I did have the numbers who wanted to sell on I would make a fortune..... No in all reality I have no idea how many people have bought just as an investment. I will have  a better idea once we launch the website and start collecting data. The properties I have sold on there to investors will not be going on the market before completion these investors have bought for long term growth not just the quick kill. If people are buying just to flip them I think there will be some ( not all) unhappy people. As most investments they must be classed as long term and not an overnight investment.

Hi Dave.

In answer to your earlier postings regarding selling on as an investment, we certainly have no intentions of doing so.  We are buying this property purely for our own enjoyment.

Hi Val

Good to hear my only concern is that we could have a lot of for sale signs around the development,if there are a lot of buyers looking to sell on.We to are not looking to sell on we are hoping for plenty of days in the sun, and warm winters or even summers.

Hi All,

We, too, have bought for our own enjoyment. Hey, yes it’s an investment but for the long term. Christine and I spent a few years looking before we committed. I must say that I have absolutely no regrets. In the past, we had been out on these ‘inspection trips’ and never found what we wanted. I purchased at the La Tercia site while out on a weekend with some friends. I was on the phone to my wife outside the portacabin trying to explain what I’d found!
Bill, one of the things that drew me to the site was the golf. I have played golf for a long time and it looks to me that our course is going to be something special. Water hazards are always a great challenge and create a fantastic feature to any course. Take a look at La Tercia, the water covers the entire length of the course touching nearly every green. It’s going to be one hell of a challenge. You may not have heard of Jose Gancedo, but take a look at his past work. He knows his stuff!
O.K., there are a fair few courses planned for the area but I think that’s good. It’s a popular sport. I bet you know a few golfers! How many of them play for Societies? How many go on golfing weekends? I would suspect nearly every one. As you say access to the area is expanding and at least for now it’s cheap. I believe as the courses come on line, in the years to come Murcia is going to be very popular.
No way are we selling…..roll on Dec 2007.

Hey Mark

I'm new to the forum and still catching up on all the postings.  In your reply re- number of people possibly looking for a quick re-sale you mentioned that you felt there would some unhappy people.  Not sure what you meant.  I am aware that some speculative investors tend to snap up the best units on the best developments before selling on to a lifestyle investor.  Are you of the belief that in this particular development that speculative investors may be disappointed in terms of a premium return.  I have been led to believe that no-one can re-sell prior to completion.

Secondly we have bought with a view to rental long-term and block booking for personal use.  I was wondering if you could provide some info on how UGR will be of assistance to buyers like ourselves in securing rental.  Again from what I understand with it being a new development it may be 12-18 months before a true picture emerges around rental.

Regards

Mary Louise & Billy

Hi Mary Louise and Billy

Just to let you know Mark is a local agent, who has been of help to us with information regarding the development. We have not had contact with Mark for a while now.He is probably very busy with work commitments.

I agree it maybe 12 - 18 mths, before we have a true picture regarding rentals.
