« on: June 30, 2009, 09:19:28 AM »
Hi All

i have a question which i am hoping some one can answer - we are flying out with bmibaby on the 12th July and i know you can take a pushchair without charge - however we are looking at taking the baby car seat does anyone know if there is a cost involved for this.

Hi Lynne and Dave,

Do not know the answer to that, but most of the car hire firms will rent you one with your car.

Hi we're coming out for three weeks from 12th July (roll on) and some friends are coming out to see us from the 16th to the 20th and we would love to take them to a bodega.  Does anyone know if there's any near us and when they might be open for visitors?
Cheers

Hi Lynne & Dave,

We phoned BMI with the same question before we flew out of Cardiff last month. Apparantly there is a charge for both a child car seat and a toddler booster seat - we assumed it would be free! I cannot remember the exact cost but think it was around £15.

Hiya - re Bodegas

Try Los Alcazares (one on the right hand side on the main road going through) or Roldan or Torre Pachecco or Balsicas or Sucina - all the towns would have a Bodega.

Sorry I can't be more helpful about actual locations.  I think they open for normal shop opening hours and also normally provide plastic bottles for you to take the wine home in.

Hi All

Is anyone interested in starting a community loan system. for instance when we eventually sign for our apt and move our furniture over i will be bringing a travel cot and possible high chair - which i am happy to make these available to anyone on the site who needs to us them for rentals etc foc - i think in the long run this could help with potential customers as all these items added to the cost of the holiday may just put customers off - i know there will be wear and tear and they will need to be replaced eventually but if all the apts who borrowed the goods clubbed together then we are only talking a few pounds each.

A friend of mine is renting my apartment for 1 week in August. He is a bit cash strapped (aren't we all) and is not renting a car. He is going to spend the entire week on the resort. He is going to get a taxi from San Javier airport to La Tercia UGR. Has anyone done this journey before ? and what would be an approximate cost ? Can anyone provide a local Taxi Number close to the resort incase he needs to make a shopping trip for provisions that aren't available in The Spar on site ? Thanks in advance

Hi Mckeeko

it will cost about 35€ each way but make sure he agrees the price 1st - you also got the spar in la tercia and balsicas - i think there  is also someone on site who will pick up and drop off but i don`t know what they charge or who it is ???

Can anybody confirm on site that the horse cart trolley route from Murcia to the Mar Menor that passes through La Tercia is scheduled for Friday 7th August.

I was in La Tercia village last year when about 70 carts stopped in the village around midnight, well worth seeing.
A good night was had at the Social club, the horses were rather thirsty as well !!

Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy

Can you tell me what this is all about - it sounds fascinating and possibly Margot who lives in the village may be able to help.
