Yes I agree my adopted Spanish Team played well and deserved to win

I spent the evening in a Spanish bar called Taberna Espanola which is the branch for the Barcelona supporters Club and th atmosphere was electric

From the finish of the match, ALL DRINKS, were free and snacks started emerging from the kitchen

This could only happen in Spain

Hi Dave
Did not realise that this site existed.I enjoyed reading the other positive comments which are varied and sometimes amusing
I would like to add that I enjoy the diversity of people, nationality etc. For me , I find the Spanish people very hospitable and eager to help. I am totally embarrassed when they apologise for their poor English when my grasp of Spanish is less than limited. I have posted dates for the social events on the security site. If I can be of further assistance my email is jane.webb@live.co.uk
Regards
Jane

Hi All,

In an effort to return to a positive thread..... :)

I'd like to invite everyone to a BBQ on site later in the month, thats the 28th July. I happen to be celebrating my 36th Birthday while on holiday this year and a few of us came up with the idea of having a pool party.

The plan hopefully is John Quane, myself and Luis will be cooking up, Luis putting together one of his famous paella's.

The venue is 12.1 pool and EVERYONE is welcome, the beers are on me!!!! - shall we say 5pm.

Hope you are going to be there Bob? I love you to but don't tell Luis ;D

Gary

Luis,

Thats a good idea - president of fun. Think Bob should take the role on as there are far too many young ladies already nominated as presidents  ;D Plus he's got much nicer legs than Trish and Sandra.... :o

Its going to be nice to get over there to cool off.....30 deg here today - PHEW!

Look forward to seeing you Richard and Jemma.

Report after returning from the La Tercia front line ;D ;D

After speaking with many La Tercia residents, and hearing their views all i can say is that the La Tercia community spirit is alive and kicking 8) 8) Has was mentioned on numerous occasions we are all 1 community, everyone is welcome to join in the social scene etc.

The security barriers are in operation and manned both ends and vehicles being stopped ( well i was stopped, perhaps looked like a dodgy character to the guards :o) and the guards where wearing company uniforms which created a good security presence. This being the original security company, i thought it was a great improvement from earlier visits.

For you phase 2 `ers your pools are filled, and the area is looking great :)

For those on phase 1, who seem to be having problems with your utilities, try contacting your lawyer or make the call yourselves to the relevant companies. Iberdrola and Aguas De Murcia have English speaking staff, Gas Natural are a little difficult to speak with if your Spanish is not to good. You can find all the information on the forum by using the search button.

Your Spanish will improve which is another positive, if like me you spent 3 hrs in and out of different depts of the Ayuntamiento de Murcia, trying to find out why we had not received our IBI bill. I must say that each dept was very helpful and understanding, and i got there in the end so another plus ;D ;D ;D

Spoke with our 12.1 president, which was very informative and glad we finally had the chat keep up the good work 8).

The place is looking great and outstanding snagging jobs are being undertaken, perhaps people expected all the development to be completed with no problems. If this was the case perhaps it would have been better to have purchased at an established development, i am sure that La Tercia can only get better in the coming years.

Counting down again to the next visit.

Dave

We have been renting on UGR since last December, and to add to what Dave has said this is a great development.  A little of our story is that we were purchasing across the road from UGR on La Tercia Real, where all work stopped on site last October.  Since then we have been fighting to have our deposit refunded, which we finally had returned 3 weeks ago, we had a bank guarantee with an expired date (it is against Spanish law to have expiry dates on b/g's).  We consider ourselves very lucky to have had our deposit refunded, many others are still fighting for their money back, although the experience has still cost us thousands of euros in solicitors fees.  We will now stay on this site, and hopefully purchase on here.  Most of the promised facilities are here, compared with many other sites who have nothing of what the builder promised.  We agree Dave, this site will get better and better.

Congratulations on getting your deposit back from Peinsa- I know there are lots of people who have not been so lucky - so well done.

I think lots of us owners on La Tercia do know how lucky we are - and are extremely positive about the future of UGR La Tercia and have been since we put our deposits down.

We look forward to welcoming you as a fully fledged La Tercian should you decide to buy on our terrific resort.
