You are quite correct the golfers and partners group of 20 odd did have a meal that was a negotiated price after owners discount. However the organiser was of the opinion that we were getting the Golf Menu which both he and I thought consisted of a three course meal. Had he been informed that a five course option with more choices was available at only a few euros more, less owners discount, I am pretty sure he would have opted for that.
Your set meal sounds really good especially in comparison to ours where we had just one miniscule starter, a choice of 3 main courses, 3 of the pastas came up cold and had to be returned to reheat and a number of the pork dishes were exceedingly fatty, we were told that this was the way it was done in Spain. I would add that at least half the group were satisfied with their meal.

I really do not want to be negative about the clubhouse food or service but feel that if a customer of any restaurant is not happy he has two choices.
One, is to not return to the restaurant, which a number of those present decided to do.
The other is to tell the management in the hope that next time things will improve and that others do not suffer in future, unfortunately this was not possible as no management came to talk to us or see if we had enjoyed our meal.

I very much hope that owners and guests continue to enjoy the food, service and ambience at the clubhouse/restaurant as I for one would certainly not like to see more owners finding other venues on a regular basis.

Thanks for that Hugh Man and I am sure that had the organiser known he would have made a better choice for you all.
On another point in relation to the restaurant and clubhouse catering I noticed that the clubhouse has been getting busier and busier in the last few weekends. The restaurant is fully booked for a party of 110 tonight and last weekend Friday was fully booked, on Saturday there was a group of 90 for a First Communion party and the restaurant was taken up with that and Sunday was also really busy. The terrace and restaurant were both closed on Saturday for the party and I would imagine that the terrace and restaurant are out for tonight as well. So possibly a good idea to book at table if anyone is coming out at weekends and looking forward to a meal as the new guys certainly are very busy with a lot of local people coming in for meals especially at weekends. Might be a good idea to let any renters know so that they are not dissappointed.
In fairness to Collados they are making a great effort with the restaurant and have some new additions to the menu such as a fantastic steak sandwich (a bit like a Philly Steak only better) and all prices for bar menu are still very reasonable. They have also added to the staff and service is excellent even during the busy times.
I like to eat elsewhere during the rest of the season but in summer everywhere outside Roda is so busy during holiday time it is a lot easier to walk to the clubhouse and enjoy something whilst relaxing on the terrace listening to the music or attempting the salsa dancing than to try to find a parking space in Los Alcazares.
