Hi Dave and Ricardo,
Thanks Dave for the info will follow that up next year, but in the meantime Ricardo, we use this company who were very good and sorted it all for us and were a lot cheaper than using the solicitor. There are also other companies that do the same thing but I can recommend these and I do know of other owners who have used them.
Bye for now
Richard

Dave
We are in the process of trying to pay the non resident tax but our solicitors have misplaced the NIE documents . We have copies but we are told that A. We havnt been registered at the Tax office (would have thought so because of the purchase ie VAT and to register with the Gas and Electric, water etc.  B. That the Tax office will not accept photocopies of the NIE documents.
I dont know if anyone else has experienced these problems. We are applying to pay tax and not to avoid it. Any replies would be helpful

Regards

Richard

Hi ricardo,

Your NIE should have been registered with AEAT, otherwise like you say how would it have been possible to pay the transfer taxes and, as a result, the property would not have been registered. Perhaps a question for your solicitor?

You do not require any copies of your NIE certificate to complete, the Non-Resident tax form. All you require is your NIE numbers

You can check yourself to see if you are registered at the tax office by using the following link https://www5.aeat.es/ES13/S/buncbunc040n/

Did your solicitor say they would arrange your non-residents tax for you?

Hi Richard, yes the company you mention are a lot cheaper than using a solicitor, doing it your self is cheaper still  :D :D :D

Dave

New forms for non-resident taxation for year 2011

The Spanish Tax Office has approved new forms for this year 2011, however the forms do not appear to be ready yet on the web page of the Income Tax office. www.aeat.es

To view an example of the new Modelo form 210  click here

Instructions on how to complete Modelo form 210, to follow sometime this year :) :)
