Welcome to this new Board on the Murcia-Golf Forum.

Please feel free to post your views and news on the Roda Golf & Beach Resort.  Many of these properties are now completing in Phase 1, so of particular interest will be  your stories on  standard and playability of the golf course, the standard of the built properties, the setting of the Resort, snagging and anything else you care to discuss.  You will see from the postings on the United Golf La Tercia Board that our members display a keen interest in the progress of their investment properties with a wide variety of topics discussed and we hope that you will do the same for Roda Golf and Beach Resort.

We also have a fantastic picture gallery - so please feel free to upload and share all of your pictures of Roda Golf & Beach Resort.

Again, welcome to the Forum.

;D Hello everyone,

It's great to see another website on board allowing members to communicate not only with people from Roda but from other complexes as well.  If anyone has any photo's please upload it would be much appreciated.

Hello Sandra and Allen

We would just like say thank you for allowing us to rent out your apartment on Roda Golf this past week.  The apartment itself was stunning and with it overlooking the pool we could not have wished for more.  They have done a fantastic job with the resort and the course looks lovely.

The location of the resort was fantastic with all the local bars and restaurants, plus less than 10 minutes to the airport and a couple of minutes drive to the beach.

We would definitely recommend it to anyone else looking to stay in this area, or anyone visiting the La Tercia site as it is only a 15 minute drive away.

Muchos gracias

Val and Paul.

Hi Sandra,

I suspect you would be able to point me in the right direction, the following is one of many emails and visits since May this year to try to sort out Roda's unacceptable attitude towards the snagging list for our apartment, I understand they are even ignoring contact from our solicitors over there.

What would you suggest we do next,

Kind Regards,

David Chuter

Subject: RE: Roda Golf - Apartment block 7, 1-C

Please note that I did not agree to your taking off the top of the Washing machine, you provided me with no alternative (THE OPTION, THIS OR NOTHING) and, I said UNLESS you provide an insurance policy to cover any claims for electrocution or other injuries caused by your removing the top and also by doing so I told you that this invalidated the guarantee which you would need to cover, my witnesses to this are Inside right, the Spanish agent for Balay and Mrs Chuter.

I told you that as advised by, Balay who make the Washing machine for use ALL OVER EUROPE INCLUDING SPAIN, the height of the washing machine is STANDARD, SO THEREFORE THE WORK TOP IS NOT HIGH ENOUGH, if you believe this not to be the case please provide us with details that we can go back to Balay (Bosch) to say they are manufacturing products that will not fit under the internationally agreed height of work top surfaces.

With the plumbing in the 2nd bathroom thank you, but you did agree to do this as a matter of urgency when I pointed it out  to you on the 27th of July, YOU REPAIRED IT YESTERDAY!!!

With the design on the floor, I am amazed that you are permitted to make errors, but would appreciate your confirming which part in the contract that we signed shows that you are entitled to make fundamental errors when laying the design of the marble floor.

Please let me know when you intend repairing these problems,

Hi David

We have corresponded and I wish you much success in getting these problems resolved.  It really is annoying when you know that generally the standard of the product is good, but then you come across the Friday afternoon product - I really hope Calidona do pull their finger out and assist in getting your problems sorted sooner rather than later.

Keep posting on the Forum - and let us know the outcome.

Regards
Sandra

David

I completely agree that Roda's aftersales snagging service is poor. We exchanged on Phase 2 in July so our problems are not as old or bad as yours but after chasing them a number of times they have still not completed all the defects.

I believe in Spain you are able to ask for and complete a complaints form which can go to local courts, something which most developers are keen to avoid.

The law in Spain is quite strict on development defects and your solicitor should be able to take the correct steps by applying to Court especially if Roda are ignoring him too.

I have noted more of a response to my emails since I asked for a claim form but not sure it will get the job done any quicker.

Best of luck

I and I am sure lots of others would love to know how you get on.

Hi Hugh & David

I had completely forgotten about that complaints form.  Fantastic - that should hopefully get things moving.

Good luck

Sandra
