United Golf Advertising purchasing incentives
« on: March 31, 2006, 10:21:41 AM »
Did anyone know that United Golf are offering at shows in both Alicante and Madrid in April incentives to would be purchasers of property on their resorts of  a car! if they commit to a purchase at the shows.  they had also been offering this via radio advertising and I have seen it in print.  I feel a little peeved as we committed to the project in March 2005 and no incentives at all were offered at that time.

I did take this up with United but have been told that it was people who attended the shows only.  I then emailed them back and asked if they were then going to consider contributing towards say a furniture pack for the properties and, as yet, have had no reply.  I am going to take this up with them again when we visit in mid May.

Does anyone else have any views on this?

All the best

Hi,

Perhaps united golf are trying to entice Spanish residents as well has the UK residents, into purchasing at the resort and making it a united resort.
Also i think that you don`t get something for nothing in this world?.maybe a catch.
Is the offer for La Tercia or the other resorts that are going to be built.

Thank you Gary and Dave for your replies. I agree Dave, that there is always a catch with these things and the ad did not make it clear at what level you would be entitled to  a car - I presume it would have been for the purchase of one of the higher cost properties.  However, it does make you wonder, if the rumours about non-provision of the swimming pools are true perhaps they are using cash they had previously allocated for the pools to pay for the cars!  I am certainly going to take this up with them and would be grateful for sight of the plans which indicate where the pools should be.  We too bought where we did because of the close proximity of the swimming pool.

Look forward to hearing more.

Sandra

I agree Sandra if the pools are being sacrificed to pay for cars then something needs to be done, once we get the information maybe we can all contact united to clear things up.

Also on www.spanishpropertyinsight.com their is a general forum page 6 titled unauthorised site plan changes well worth a look at,with regard the swimming pools situation

Sandra

I`am sure thats where Eileen will be starting and finishing as well.
Sandra i can understand the point about the furniture packs with regard the costs involved for united. When you visit in May it will be worth seeing for your self, if the pools have changed from when you origanally saw them.I`am not concerned about the incentives as much because thats life, and we are more than happy with what we have got at united and the way things are progressing at the moment. I`am more concerned with the changing of the swimming pools.
